Laser Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is an effective treatment to restore younger, tighter skin. Using a special fractional handpiece, the Fotona laser ablates precise microchannels over just a fraction of the entire resurfacing area. This is similar to the older Fraxel laser technology.
Fotona vs Fraxel Laser
The Fotona laser offers several advantages over Fraxel laser. Although both lasers provide fractional laser resurfacing, the Fotona laser benefits include:
Speed- the Fotona fractional handpiece produces 81 microchannels in a single laser shot. Combined with optimal frequencies, this high-speed technology shortens treatment times considerably.

How does laser skin resurfacing work?
Fotona’s fractional handpiece vaporizes precise micron diameter channels over just a fraction of the laser resurfacing area. This initiates a wound healing response which stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, resulting in tighter, younger skin with less downtime or the adverse effects of purely ablative procedures.
