UNDER EYE LASER TREATMENT 

The undereye area is typically one of the first areas that shows signs of aging.  This skin is this area is very thin and is supported by an underlying thin fat compartment.  By our early 30's, we start to lose about one percent of the fat in this area every year.  This leads to hollowing of the undereye area as well as wrinkles, creases and fine lines around the eye.  To treat this delicate area, our team at VIKARA uses advanced filler and laser techniques.  Although fillers will address the volume loss in the area, the overlying skin should be treated first with lasers using our Smootheye treatment

One of the most challenging conditions to treat is dark circles.  This condition occurs because the undereye skin is very thin.  As we lose volume in this area, the tissue becomes dehydrated causing the network of capillaries to leak blood out of their fragile walls.  The pooled blood in this area leads to dark circles.  The best treatment for this condition is a combination approach starting with the Fotona laser to strengthen the skin.  Laser treatment can be immediately followed by liquid platelet rich fibrin (PRF) treatment which will help strengthen the capillary walls and improve skin tone and texture.  After a series of treatments with laser and PRF, hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane can be placed to add volume and rehydrate the skin.
